February..ugh

I am sick of winter! I am sick of draughts! I want warm spring days! Bring on the daffodils!

Nothing much to report as of late. Life is well into the winter blues. Carl's foot is progressing very slowly. The optimum word is progressing! * smile

Last week end we took a drive up to Kincardine for my grand daughter's 11 birthday. It was good to get out of the city, even for a day. The sun was shining and the roads were clear. We had a lovely visit and then stopped off in Point Clark at the "log house" to visit with Jules.

I have finally reached TILT. Too much sitting around and moping.....and drinking wine in the evening. I have porked out so much I hate myself...grrr. So I dragged my sorry ass back to Curves. I said to Cheryl I thought an alarm would go off when I scanned my card, it has been so long. So I am back to huffing and puffing 3 times a week. That is another reason I would like to see some warm weather. Little Miss Chloe has gotten porky this winter too. We would both benefit from a walk around the park after supper each evening.

Ten years of wearing acryic nails have come to an end. They are finally off . The first couple of weeks are the worse. I feel as if my fingers have been removed at the first joint. My typing is much faster now though....and.....the bleach dyed hair is growing out. Not long enough to cut it all off yet. I will be wearing short hair this summer. I just feel as if I need to get back to the real me. All these chemicals can not be doing me any good either. Poor Carl is a little concerned. Let me state I am NOT "giving up" or "giving in." It is just time to for me to appreciate me. I have earned everyone of these silver hairs. Then my mother will say my face is too thin....(*throwing my hands up in the air). I will not be dowdy for my 61st birthday! Did I really say that? Sixty friggin one? Sheesh.

I have been knitting up a storm.....go to the "other" blog for updates. I have ordered some wool from Alberta (contrary to previous experience some good things come from Alberta)(*howling with laughter) and I will be haunting the mailbox all next week waiting for it to arrive. Mom will be pleased I am on my 5th pneumonia prevention vest. Pictures will be on the knitting blog.

When I finish this one I will take a break. I want to get my lace knitting project finished also.

I can not watch TV and knit on that one I do boo boo's and then I have to frog twice as much as I knit..damn

OK I guess that's it for now...........
